Our healthcare renewals occur in October (not December), so we have seen similar large increases – 20% premium increase across plan options and age groups. To attempt to mitigate this a bit, we increased the amount that our organization covers while also adding a cheaper plan (an HMO) to the provider options.

Cures Within Reach gets our D&O insurance through Affinity Nonprofits and we have separate general liability coverage for our organization.

In addition, since we fund clinical trials, we also require (within our grant agreements) that our grantees confirm their own clinical trial insurance as well as the grantee
taking responsibility for all claims, indemnifying us, defending us and holding our organization harmless.
