Hello,

Does everyone have D&O Insurance and who do you use for insurance?

Have any of your sponsored research awardees required your organization to carry commercial general liability insurance, workers’ compensation, employer’s liability insurance, automobile liability insurance and/or professional liability insurance? If so, how did this work and who do you use for insurance?

We are a relatively new, private foundation wondering how standard any of these types of insurance are and what are reasonable coverage levels. Would love to discuss more with anyone willing.

WE have D&O insurance which I buy through Ghalagher.

Cures Within Reach gets our D&O insurance through Affinity Nonprofits and we have separate general liability coverage for our organization.

In addition, since we fund clinical trials, we also require (within our grant agreements) that our grantees confirm their own clinical trial insurance as well as the grantee
taking responsibility for all claims, indemnifying us, defending us and holding our organization harmless.
