Registry and Biorepository Community

Community Description

Registries and biorepositories provide vital infrastructure for advancing research and delivering value to the communities they serve. Yet, these programs face persistent challenges related to technology selection, participant recruitment, data standardization, governance of access and sharing, and long-term sustainability. Recognizing that building and maintaining these resources requires significant investment and expertise, HRA established the Registry and Biorepository Community to foster collaboration among peer organizations and external experts. Through shared learning and practical exchange, this community helps members design and sustain registries and biorepositories that are efficient, impactful, and aligned with best practices in data stewardship and open science.
