Companies that don’t have medical devices or pharmaceuticals that are actively marketed need to pay for their own travel. It’s part of the Pharma and Advamed code of ethics to prevent kickback schemes.
No reputable company in this space would ask you to pay for their travel or hotel. However, people that are in research, consulting, and technology don’t have to operate under these expectations. So, reimbursement for travel and/or complimentary hotel rooms may be appropriate.

Paula is exceptionally engaging while making presentations to board members and she makes legal issues simple for non-lawyers who are trying to understand the situation. Additionally, she’s a fierce advocate for non-profits, associations, and Foundations. I have worked at several organizations that have used her services, and the AASM has been a client for a while.
