The Rainwater Charitable Foundation currently has two open funding opportunities supporting innovative approaches in neurodegenerative disease research:
BRING IT (Brain Research & Innovation Network: Grant Initiative of Texas)
BRING IT will provide one-year grants of up to $100,000 in direct costs to help investigators accelerate promising research, foster collaboration, and generate the preliminary data and proof-of-concept evidence that can position projects for future funding through the Dementia Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (DPRIT) or other larger-scale funding mechanisms. This opportunity is limited to Texas-based academic institutions and nonprofit organizations. Letters of Intent are due November 13, 2026. Learn more about BRING IT
Tau Consortium Learning Research Network (LRN)
The LRN funding opportunity supports AI-enabled research in primary tauopathies, with an emphasis on meaningful uses of AI, collaboration, and shared scientific resources. Funding is available at up to $250,000 per participating team and up to $1 million total for projects involving as many as four collaborating teams. The opportunity is open worldwide to eligible investigators, engineers, data scientists, computational researchers, technical leaders, and interdisciplinary teams. Letters of Intent are due October 30, 2026. Learn more about the Tau Consortium LRN
Please share with researchers and organizations in your networks who may be interested in applying.
