Eliseo J. Pérez-Stable, MD, Director of the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), gave an update to the AAMC community on key NIMHD issues for the extramural research and research training community. Dr. Pérez-Stable addressed:

• Current funding opportunities targeting inequities related to COVID-19 and minority health and health disparities
• Contributors to racial/ethnic inequities in NIH funding and efforts underway to address the disparity
