Introduction to HRA’s New Executive Director

Dear HRA members,

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of the Health Research Alliance. My first 30 days as the Executive Director have been exciting and fulfilling! I have spent time getting to know the amazing HRA staff and interns, as well as some Board members, Committee members, and other volunteers that make HRA a unique and robust organization. I look forward to continuing to reach out and meet many more of you in the coming months, particularly at the Fall Members Meeting!

During my brief time at HRA, I have been impressed with the openness, passion, and dedication of the leadership and membership. I appreciate your warmth in welcoming me to the organization and the patience you have shown me in learning all aspects of the HRA. I am especially grateful to Maryrose Franko and Jenna Hicks, who took the time to meet with me many times in the weeks leading up to the leadership transition to impart their knowledge and experience. HRA is a special organization and I know I have big shoes to fill with Maryrose’s retirement!

I am dedicated to spending the next few months talking with all of you about HRA, the value your membership brings, and how HRA can continue to support you in the future. Please be on the lookout for multiple opportunities to meet and exchange ideas! I would also love to see many of you at the Fall Members Meeting on October 1 –  2, 2024, and the welcome reception on September 30, 2024. Registration is now open. If you have not done so, please register here!

Thank you again for your warmth in welcoming me to the organization. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time to say hello, ask questions, or share ideas.

Thank you,
Kristy
