Professional Development Session: Strategies for Preventing and Addressing Professional Burnout [Fall 2026, HRA Members Meeting, Irvine, CA]

Over the past two years, HRA members have been describing high levels of work-related stress due to changing federal grants policies, an increase in applications for non-profit funding, the spread of scientific misinformation, and other factors. This session will define stress and burnout, describe the impact stress has on the brain and body, and interactively teach evidence-based ways to regulate stress. Participants will learn to recognize stress, identify burnout, and create a personalized action plan for managing stress.

Speaker:

Andrew O’Brien, MBA, PCC, NBC-HWC, SHRM-SCP – The Mindblowing Coach
