Utilizing Visualization for Program Evaluation: Techniques and Strategies [September 22, 2022]
The Program Evaluation community learned more about Utilizing Visualization for Program Evaluation: Techniques and Strategies at its September meeting.
Speaker: Dr. Katy Börner, Indiana University in Bloomington, Professor of Engineering and Information Science
Summary: Program evaluation is an important aspect of the program life cycle for funders. While many program evaluations consider publications, follow-on funding, citation and co-citation networks, and Altmetrics to explore the impact and influence of their research portfolio, the use of effective data visualization as a component of program evaluation can be a powerful asset in an evaluation toolkit for both internal and external stakeholders. For this webinar, Katy Börner at Indiana University in Bloomington will be presenting on her work in this field. Katy’s research focuses on the development of data analysis and visualization techniques for information access, understanding, and management. She will share with us her insights into program evaluation that we think will inspire you to consider incorporating more visualizations strategies into ongoing and future program evaluation. We hope you can join us for this webinar on September 22nd.
